SK Gaming have defeated Natus Vincere two maps to one, to book their spot in the DreamHack Summer 2011 where they will meet Mortal TeamWork.
The much anticipated semi-final between SK Gaming and Natus Vincere would begin on de_nuke. SK would start as the more favoured Counter-terrorists and would go to work early, picking up the opening five rounds. Na'Vi managed to regain some composure and picked up a handful of rounds but it wasn't enough. SK managed to win twelve of the fifteen rounds on offer, and looked to be in a commanding lead at halftime.
The second half would be no different, and SK picked up where they left off and won the remaining four rounds needed to defeat Na'Vi 16:3.
Map two saw the teams face off on de_train, which would prove to become an AWP playground as both teams tried to stamp their authority on the yard bombsite. Na'Vi got off to the dream start picking up the Counter-terrorist pistol and the following save round. SK opted for the early buy and caught Na'Vi off guard eventually winning the third round. SK then started to mount the pressure on as they won six rounds straight taking the score to 6:2 after eight rounds.
At the start of the ninth round, Na'Vi called for a timeout which proved to do the trick. Na'Vi had broken the momentum and picked up majority of the remaining rounds to go into the break with a 8-7 lead over SK.
After the break, the teams really started to up the ante, with rounds being exchanged one after another, saves versus guns, guns versus guns. The game was once again paused with scores being 13:9 in favour of Natus Vincere. The pause didn't work out for SK like they had hoped, with Na'Vi able to close out the map 16:10.
The third and final map, and the last stand for both teams would be de_inferno. SK got off to the better start, however after six rounds, scores were level at three a piece. The seventh round, after SK were putting pressure on Na'Vi's finances, they decided to eco after the winning the previous round. This gave SK the chance they needed and they went on to take that round and the next. Na'Vi regained their control on the favoured Counter-terrorist side and finished the half 10:5.
SK Gaming came busting out on the second half, winning the pistol and the next seven rounds to take the match to a 12:10 lead. The last rounds to be put simply, were just amazing, words cannot describe, in the end SK came out victorious 16:13.
